Our wine list is small and in its infancy but ever growing… If it were a person, and describing itself for a Myspace bio it would say things like “I’m thoughtful and caring. I believe in honesty and integrity but above all I love to have fun. My favourite bands of all time are The Smiths, Talking Heads and The Strokes. And I love Jeff Buckley. But I’m currently listening to A Tribe Called Quest and Death Cab for Cutie. I like spending time in the sun as much as I do getting cozy. And I love food. Especially fresh seafood.”
Oysters are the undisputed heroes of the food offering at The Walrus. You’ll find a selection of these briny bivalves on display at our oyster bar, just waiting to be popped open and served simply on ice with lemon and mignonette.
You may also wander your way through the food menu that leans heavily on wine-centric snacks such as gildas and other pintxos designed to whet the appetite before moving onto a more substantial plate such as the sea urchin pasta.
Nary a weary traveller shall leave The Walrus with an unsatisfied tum.
